Making sense of the Epistle of James. There's a very important message there, which we might miss if we're frightened away by the sharp rebukes. We might have thought it was about controlling our tongue (Actually he says we can't control our tongues). All that about "faith without works is dead" seems to fly in the face of what Paul says about faith. Even Martin Luther didn't get it at first! But it fits. When we look more closely, we find that Paul was really saying the same thing. It's all about Focus
